Urban Moment captures a fleeting encounter within the social fabric of the city, inspired by the atmosphere of a gathering in Barcelona's El Raval. Rather than documenting a specific event, the drawing explores the gap between what we see and what we perceive. Figures emerge and recede within dense, palm-like forms, their identities remaining intentionally unresolved as memory, light, and movement reshape the scene. This ambiguity reflects a central concern in my practice: the instability of perception and the fluid relationship between individual and environment. The image resists a fixed narrative, inviting viewers to linger and construct their own associations. Human presence becomes intertwined with its surroundings, dissolving clear distinctions between body, nature, and urban space. Working with layered marks and simplified forms, I create images that oscillate between recognition and abstraction. The drawing becomes less a representation of a particular place than a sensory record of collective experience—where intimacy, atmosphere, and perception continuously shift. Urban Moment belongs to a broader body of work that examines how contemporary identities are shaped through encounters with both natural and constructed environments, proposing a vision of human existence as relational, mutable, and in constant transformation.
