Hello, I'm Eglė Narbutaitė.
Both the drawings and texts in my work are often linked by humor. It is one of my favorite forms of expression, allowing me to express myself more deeply and sharply on issues that concern me. I am glad that I have the opportunity to create works on social issues such as climate change, violence against women, emotional health, etc. This gives me a lot of meaning, which I am constantly searching for in my work. Short bio: Born in 1988 in Šiauliai. In 2011, I graduated from Kingston University in London with a degree in Art Performance and Digital Media. In 2013, I returned to Lithuania to create. In 2013, after receiving a scholarship from the Šiauliai Artist Fund, I created a solo performance called "Tu nemoki piešti" (You Can't Draw). From 2018 to 2020, I created a musical stand-up show about emotional health called Bliuvė, which was later released as a soundtrack. This project received a scholarship from the Lithuanian Council for Culture and a scholarship for young artists in Šiauliai.
