Hello, I'm Joana Kairienė.

Joana Kairienė is a Vilnius-based artist and a member of the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association since 2013. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Graphic Arts at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Her work grows from memory and inner sensation, using personal experience as a point of departure for exploring connections with the surrounding environment. Themes of memory and inheritance recur throughout her practice. Traditional printmaking techniques—and their contemporary reinterpretations—are often employed as tools for rediscovering or reconstructing familiar images.
