The Magdala Flower

The Magdala Flower began with a symbol that has survived for nearly two thousand years: a simple six-petaled rosette carved into the Magdala Stone. What drew me to it was not only its history, but the way such a modest form has carried so many meanings across cultures and centuries heaven and earth, devotion and transformation, the sacred hidden within the ordinary. Much of my work revolves around finding structure within emotion, and The Magdala Flower became a meditation on that search. A reminder that some symbols endure not because we fully understand them, but because they continue to offer new meanings each time we return to them.
