The Magdala Flower

The Magdala Flower began with a symbol that has survived for nearly two thousand years: a simple six-petaled rosette carved into the Magdala Stone. What drew me to it was not only its history, but the way such a modest form has carried so many meanings across cultures and centuries — heaven and earth, devotion and transformation, the sacred hidden within the ordinary. Much of my work revolves around finding structure within emotion, and The Magdala Flower became a meditation on that search. A reminder that some symbols endure not because we fully understand them, but because they continue to offer new meanings each time we return to them.
